Governor’s Stay at Home Order, Starts March 23, 2020
Governor Edwards has issued a Stay at Home Order that goes into effect at 5pm on Monday, March 23, to further fight the spread of the Coronavirus in our state. Please review the links to determine how you should operate.
Governor’s Order:
Essential Business Memo:
The city is encouraging people to use it’s drive-thru service at city hall for any business matters. At this time, all city workers are deemed essential and will continue to provide services to keep you safe. Please email or call each department for routine questions, and contact city hall for the unusual ones. We are here to help you.
The city council is meeting on March 24 at 5:30pm and encourages you to participate via the city’s YouTube Channel (LINK TO INSTRUCTIONS). We’ll live stream the meeting, and you can provide your comments. Please review the agenda items (LINK TO COUNCIL AGENDA PAGE), and email or call with questions ahead of the meeting, too, so that these comments can be included.
The city’s playgrounds, basketball courts, and skate park are closed until further notice. The rest of the parks remain open, and we encourage people to exercise regularly while practicing social distancing — 6 feet apart, groups smaller than 10 people, and wash your hands frequently.
We will get through this together in Hammond, America!
