Louisiana Cultural Connection April 24, 2014 – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

In 30 years, Louisiana Main Street has leveraged a total of 2,526 new businesses, leading to a net 10,710 new jobs. In total, the value of reinvestments in Main Streets during the program’s existence amounts to over $544.5 million. Volunteer information has only been tracked for the past 10 years, but in that time, a total of 104,621 volunteers have amassed 778,348 volunteer hours for Main Streets. This is revitalization in action!  We are excited to honor the Main Street Communities for their 30 years with Main Street.

Special recognition for the four original (30 years) Main Street communities.
